Okay, why not give this a whirl hey? The other day I was going through some really old RAGE videos from way back when I was a teen. (eek I'm 22 in two days!) On came my fave tape - it was Fiona Horn when she looked young and pretty! Apart from the great old Swirl and Magic Dirt clips which I used to play along to every day, on came Lie Down Forever - yay! It had been far too long since I'd heard that song, it brought back memories of playing it with old school friends and how cool the 'bye bye bye bye bye bye' (or is it ba ba ba - who knows) bits are. Anyway it got me back into the pop thing and I'm back into three chord stuff - it's the best!
Sorry if this story seems lame, but you gotta understand that I used to watch these clips like every single afternoon after school - I was full on into Godstar, Smudge and Swirl. Hey Swirl are playing on my b'day!!! Thanks.

oh, i remember when i was first in the shop and bought lots of vinyl and nic said he would tape it for me so i gave him the tape in my walkman to tape on and when i went back he was horrified because the tape i had given him was bandwagonesque... he was like 'don't know if you realised but you gave me a *teenage fanclub* tape to tape over and there was no way i was going to do that...' i told him it was okay because i had the proper record at home but he insisted i keep it the little poppit.

On the street walkin to annas last week i had a cool chat with your idol Nic D. He was going home on a fri night after work and when asked about going out he mentioned something about having no dough. So then i cracked one about the Dr's of Love single making millions and he (a bit deadpan) went no not that many are being sold and triple j arent playing it and yeah its just that cult following which is about fifty people including friends, and that they cant get any gigs.
So i tell him that as long as hes enjoying it (and we are) not to worry. We pass by and I smile when i think of the encounter. What a cool man.

Great Moment becuase of Godstar:
My Great Moment because of Godstar happened just after Coastal had been released. It was a freezing, raining winter's evening and I'd been up all night the night before. The fire was lit in out lounge room and i was waiting for my tea to cook. I put on Coastal and lay down infront of the fire to listen to the album. I fell asleep very, very happy.
