The Plunderers: Stevie, Nic and Geoff
Stevie Plunder: guitar, vocals
Pete Velzen / Geoff Milne: drums
Nic Dalton: bass, vocals
The Plunderers formed in the early 80s in Canberra. The line-up at times also included Pete Velzen (Falling Joys) and Andy Lewis (Gadflys, Whitlams). Pete played drums for the first half of the bands existance (his last flash 29/12/88). After Petes' departure, Geoff Milne (Eastern Dark, Red Planet Rockets, Hippy Dribble,
Captain Denim) took over on the drum kit.
The Plunderers - Coffs Harbour Surf Club, 1992
The Plunderers were known for their extensive repertoire of over 100 songs and their ability to play any one of them at any time. By misfortune more than any other factor, the Plunderers were constantly over-looked by the major record companies while
many of their contemporaries (Hummingbirds, Falling Joys, Rat Cat) were being signed and enjoying mainstream success. In the meantime however, the Plunderers had some fantastic independant releases and built up a strong live following.
Stevie has been involved with No Concept, Hippy Dribble, Captain Denim, The Shouties, Gruesome Twosome, The Whitlams, and many other projects.
Nic has been involved in Hippy Dribble, Captain Denim, Love Positions, Godstar, Lemonheads, TKN, Sneeze. You can visited them here.
